If A Daughter Identifies As A Boy How Do You Talk To Her About Issues Affecting Young Women?
If a daughter identifies as a boy, and rejects being a woman, how do
you have those talks about issues specifically relating to young women?
Recent cases of sexual exploitation of young women may be issues that a
girl who is lesbian or who rejects femininity would also feel to be
irrelevant to her, because she feels herself to be ‘different’ to ‘those
women’ so it could never happen to her. But in the case of a daughter
who identifies as a boy, referring to issues which affect young women
may be felt as complete betrayal. It could never happen to her because
she’s not a woman.
