.....I have, however, continued to research things that I
consider you might enjoy and happened upon this very clever little film which
looks at gender stereotypes from a “reversed” viewpoint.

Small mercies
The lack of dressing has been quite confusing for me. On the upside,
having next to no pressure towards wanting to, has meant that I’ve not
been climbing the walls or had any mental anguish over it. Small mercies
indeed.
Just a few idle thoughts, from Lynn, about the other wardrobe in the house and when to use it next. Seems that the local trans group may be meeting again, albeit in a Covid-compliant environment.
Thanks, Lynn, for including a link to T-Central on your blog.

How many trans people seek medical treatment?
Clare starts this off by warning us that this is a boring post. I found it fascinating. It's full of facts and figures. Take a look at this one, from Clare.

Sophie Dolls Up
I haven't felt feminine in a long time. I decided to do my makeup and
do the best I could. I also decided to take pictures as I did it for
the sheer hell of it.
So here they are, all of Sophie's makeup secrets!
And, it's only 11 steps to be beautiful! Go here to read Sophie's makeup tips.

Confidence
The truth with Renee is, she actually looks fine. She's not super thin
in this movie, but she wears some really cute clothes, even before the
magic confidence. I'd love to look as good as that, considering all I
see right now is that my figure is terrible, my hair will never measure
up to the average female, makeup intimidates the hell out of me, and on
and on. I sure wish I could find that confidence.
Shannon recently watched the movie, I Feel Pretty. It's about a cis-woman's lack of confidence in her appearance. Shannon ties the issue to her own confidence, or lack thereof, in presenting female.
Thanks, Shannyn, for including a link to T-Central on your blog.

Going Full-time bigender?
Now I have a hair dilemma. There are currently only regulations for
men’s hair and women’s hair (unlike some European countries militaries).
There is the CF Mil Pers Instr 01/19 – TRANSGENDER GUIDANCE, which is
great for members who are transitioning. Bigender and gender
non-conforming members are still in the grey area.
Interesting post, from Michelle, and a life experience I haven't seen in the past.

Our Transition
.........we are together, we are happy, we are strong. This is our transition.
I was looking at some older blog posts today and found this one. It's short and sweet and just a lovely post from nearly nine years ago.

Interview with Rachel Reese
Monika: What would you recommend to all trans people struggling with gender dysphoria?
Monika has been doing this blog since 2013 and I've featured her posts far to few times. I don't know how she finds her Heroines and how she convinces them to do interviews, but I commend her for her efforts and well thought our questions. This interview is with Rachel Reese, a UK lawyer and trans activist, and former avionics software engineer. A very talented woman! She actually transitioned twice, reverting back to presenting as male due to not only discrimination against transwomen but also all women. Grab a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy the fabulous Interview with Rachel Reese. It's well worth reading.
Oh and I almost forgot....Thanks to Monika for including a link to T-Central on her blog!

A Month Away!
So, here's the thing: after nearly 50 years of fighting myself, I find
it to be a hard habit to break. If I was good a that, I would have
broken it much sooner.
So what is Joanne a month away from? Go to her blog to find out. I love the look, by the way. Simple, with colors that jump out at you. Nice Joanne!

A look back – May
........while I’m not presenting as Lynn at any point, I have a little more
space at home to blur the lines a little. Much as I love a pretty shirt,
working remotely means I can wear shorts, sandals, and more
gender-neutral clothing.
Lynn has a few more things to say about living the sheltered life we're all facing right now. The real reason, however, for featuring this post has nothing to do with Covid19, sheltering in place, or whatever. It's that Lynn has shared another look at her WayBack Machine, featuring May pictures of her from 2014-2019. Which year is your fav? I'm a bit partial to 2018 (above).

A Mother’s Day Weekend
Being transgender can present some confusion on how to handle many
things, like Mother’s Day. There are many trans women who consider
themselves fathers and not mothers. That is a valid feeling for them and
more power to them. I am perfectly happy to not be considered a father,
as I’m not.
In many countries, including the United States, yesterday was Mother's Day and in response to this holiday Beth has published is a lovely Mother's Day post. Do read through to the final paragraph.

No I Can't Help
This comment comes from Calie and goes back to the recent post
concerning internalized transphobia. It's a great comment and indirectly
happened to me too
It's really not my intent to put the spotlight on myself (Really😳), but I left a comment on Cyrsti's Internalized Transphobia? post and it led to this followup post, from Cyrsti. The comments are well worth reading. Oh, and that was not the end of the subject, with yet another followup post from Cyrsti.....More No.

Trans Chit-chat is Great; Trans Discussion is Better
This post was saved in draft status for nearly six years. It references discussions around the recent coming out of.......
Jenna has been blogging since 2005. Her last post was in 2015. Now, what prompted Jen to do this post, and just who is she referring to? You're just going to have to go here to find out.

Lou Reed
There has been much talk that Lou Reed was a racist because of the
lyrics in “Walk On the Wild Side” but we cannot view it through the
glasses of 2020’s we have to look back at the 70s.
Those of you who are old enough remember Lou Reed and his hit song, Walk on the Wild Side, which was about a trans person. Diana has a very interesting blog post on Lou.

Finally, a great use for my sexy red knickers!
These three pairs of Marks & Spencer scarlet knickers were still
lurking in one of my drawers (no pun intended). I hadn't worn them for
years. For a very long time they had been merely 'standby knickers' -
something I could wear towards the end of a long caravan holiday if I'd
used up all my ordinary black knickers.
This is a really cute post from Lucy. Can you guess what she did with those lovely panties? If not, you're just going to have to read, Finally, a great use for my sexy red knickers!, for the answer.

Lockdown and coming out as trans
A number of fellow bloggers have floated the idea of whether coming out
to family is a good plan during this time of isolation at home together.
As Sue says, a few bloggers have suggested that this period of lock down might be a good time to come out to a loved one. Sue is joining the commentary with a few thoughts of her own.
Thanks to Sue for linking to T-Central on her blog!
On a totally different subject, I was in a tizzy over Blogger's new layout for posts. What a mess! I had to go back to Classic Blogger but we all know this won't last long and I'll have to adapt. A question for you Blogger guru's:
Note how I always have text to the right of the Blog's logo. After playing around with the new Blogger layout, I just could not figure out how to do it. If you can assist, please write! calietg@yahoo.com

The Fame Thing
I thought recently how far we, the gender collective if you will, would
go just to experience some time in our chosen gender. Whether it was
going over to Bristol for a few hours or travelling to London, the other
side of the country, just for a few hours out and driving home and
getting back at silly hours in the morning. I’ve said it before that it
was exciting and so different to anything you could experience socially
with a double-life slammed on top that only you and those in your crowd
knew about and they like-wise would know very little, if anything, about
your life outside of these times – but it wasn’t real.
It's not unusual for me to feature a post from Hannah a week after she published it. I think the reason why is because I'll always wait for the perfect quiet time to savor her writing, every last word of it. It's so smooth, like a lovely, aged California Cab (and I've been known to read her posts while sipping on said Cab).
This post is a good example of one to savor. Hannah's been under lock down, like all of us, and she's got some time to enjoy her own thoughts of the past.

13 year old transgender girl fights for trans rights in Christian communities
Some Christian congregations love and support trans people, like the one
of Rebekah Bruesehoff, a trans girl that is now actively fighting for
the rights of trans people.
This post made my day.

Internalized Transphobia?
Internalized trans phobia is often a difficult subject. In many cases I
relate it to how we treat each other as a transgender person. As we all
know, for whatever reason, it is not the best. Unfortunately, it seems
the ravages of transition has left persons deeply flawed. Or they simply
were before their changes took place. The only place anymore I interact
with another transgender person is the occasional cross dresser -
transgender meeting I now attend by Zoom.
Long time blogger, Cyrsti, continues to help the trans community via her blog even though, for various reasons, she many not associate with many trans folks in person. Read more, in a very interesting post, that brought tears to my eyes, reminding me of a deep hurt and rejection I had experienced.

Brick Wall
I am missing three major things during this COVID-19 brick wall: 1) Dressing, 2) Shopping, 3) Exploring public times.
Oh, there are so many blog posts out there about what Tanya calls, The Brick Wall. Life goes on, but without dressing, shopping and exploring public times. Tanya goes into detail on all three in her first post since January.
