One Hears Rumours

Yes, I spell it that way...

Let's start by stating there is no way to tell what the future will bring. There has never been a time when the freedom to have a place like this, to share all of the interesting facets of the T world, has been more under threat.

If this is goodbye, for we have no idea the pressures that Blogger is under, then that is how it is. I for one hope that this is very wrong. Let us hope that the freedom to be and say, what you are, and what you think, will prevail.

Be safe and care for one another the best that you can.

The Battle Within

Kandi asks "Which Version Are You Feeding?" -- that is the battle within, the choice that defines who we are.  Another thoughtful post over at Kandi's Land.

Hey! Be Careful Out There!

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Thoughts on Sex and Gender

What makes this subject confusing and seemingly self-contradictory and indeed intractable for many people is when people conflate the biological sex terms with the social science gender terms (as per the statement:
“All trans women are biological males who identify as women. All trans men are biological women who identify as men,”).

Grab a cup and enjoy this post, from Daniella.  She tells it like it is.

I came out at work, redux

In 2nd grade, I made a new friend and never looked back. She looked like a boy, sat at the boys’ table, played with boys, and I was thrilled she made an exception for me. As more years went by, I skewed more and more masculine. Er, maybe it wasn’t that linear, but it definitely did start there.

A really nice post, from JQ.  Enjoy!

It's Very Hard

On November 6th, as it became clear that my community was about to face increasingly extreme levels of hate and violence in the years to come, I was unable to stop crying. My heart was on the floor and I could not see a future in front of me. You know who picked me up? A friend, on the far side of the world, who called me near to midnight her time. She called me to pull me from the brink of despair. I am so grateful for that.

You know who didn't call me? My family.

Joanne, like so many of us, is worried about the future. Read more here

Femulate Lives!

My father and millions of other veterans fought our foreign enemies to preserve our freedoms. They did not run and hide and that convinced me to not give up and instead, fight the enemies within who are trying to eliminate our freedoms.

Some young detransitioners are saying what I am; namely that you can be a masculine woman or feminine man without getting caught up in whatever prescription they think is obliged by the term 'trans'.

Notts Pride 2024

I know. Tut tut. A man in a woman’s t-shirt? In a built up area? With *my* reputation?  Call the cops!  Mind you, you know my love of posh paws, so I did do my nails for the event as well  Clearly I’ll be first against the wall come the glorious Ultra Nasty Party revolution.

This is an entertaining post, from Lynn.  She describes her first (I think....hard to believe it was her FIRST) participation in Nottingham Pride.

Perception – Personal Understanding

Look at the two pictures, what would someone who had just seen these two people think? What would their mental impressions be? Is one of them a woman? A man? Are they good people, or bad? Is the person showing their back ashamed? What is the perception of that person?

You'll have to go here to see the pictures.

A Tough Question, A Tougher Answer

Whenever I tell my trans life story, I always mention that I never told my wife about my crossdressing before we were married because I bought into the old wives’ tale that marriage would cure me.

Did you see this post from Stana the other day?  If not, and assuming you're part-time, do read it.  I can relate to many parts of this post, and I'm sure many of you can also.

I am torn

I am torn between being authentic yet still hiding behind a mask

This is Michelle's first attempt at poetry, and I think what she wrote is something many can relate to.

A Secret Worth Sharing: Meet Anna Secret Poet

Is it true that Anna Secret Poet started out as part of the spoken word scene?

Anna has been a long-time blogger on T-Central.  I just noticed this "Meet Anna" post on her blog.  Take a look and you'll see that she's one talented girl!

Gender-critical ideology

The conspiracy denies obvious facts: trans people exist. We exist in every culture, for all recorded history. In the words of one noted anti-trans campaigner, trans women have “a need to take on a stable, consistent, ‘feminine’ identity”. In less suspicious eyes, we simply are. Allies know of trans joy, the phenomenon that life changes from monochrome to colour when we transition. Transition is our way to thrive.

Great post, from Clare, which includes some dialog on gender affirming treatment for children.

Careful The Things You Say

Here is my plea to parents and all role models. If you really love someone, accept them as they are, no matter what expectations you might have had of them. But there is more.

Nice post from Halle.  Hopefully those who need to read this will.

Bye bye 2023

I guess you could also have written that as helping, or at least, offering help. I feel a bit funny writing this as it seems strange to put into words. I am trying to say that I enjoy helping people – if they want help, that is. I know I have to be careful not to overstretch, meaning I’ve little energy left for home stuff.

This is an end-of-the-year post, from Lynn.  Kind of a potpourri, in blog form.  Everything from UK trans politics to wig modeling.  As is nearly always the case, from Linn, this post includes her subtle humor and a few photos.

The paragraph, above, is a taste of what Lynn Jones is all about...

[This has been a happy and fullfilling, yet hectic year for me with not enough time to read blogs and feature them.  So far, it's looking like 2024, will be slowing down for me in the spring, giving me more time to feature out bloggers.]

Finaly Doing Something Good With My Life

......and probably for the first time in my life I feel I'm part of something I believe to be lasting and worthwhile, with a legacy.

To find out just what Jenny is referring to, you've got to read the post.  This is a MUST READ post!

Boot time

I’m very glad of Friday off. Mainly as this week has been a little too ‘fun packed’ – as in not at all. Nothing serious, just a lot of stuff. Lots of meetings, running errands, phone calls, etc. They all take up headspace and time.

Oh, have I been remiss in featuring Lynn's long-running blog and, indeed, one of my favorites.   This post is so typical of our girl's blogging style but, as always, a nice and easy read complete with photos!

Shopping fever - and Christmas is coming soon

And now the fever had really broken out and took me to the next shop.

It's getting cooler and Violetta needs to adapt her wardrobe accordingly.  Lots of nice photos!
