Which Stereotypes of a Woman are Acceptable?

The Caitlyn Jenner transition has sparked article after article, and much debate...some good and some bad, about the acceptance of trans women as "women".

In this featured blog post, Tasha responds to an article, in the New York Times, written by a feminist.  Referring to the author, Tasha writes:

She takes great pains to state that she supports trans women, but doesn’t want us to be defined as women because our apparent “disregard for the fact that being a woman means having accrued certain experiences, endured certain indignities and relished certain courtesies in a culture that reacted to you as one.”

Tasha doesn't take this author's distorted view of trans women lightly.  This post is absolutely a must-read.  A very credible response to the kind of assumptions and accusations that all trans women have faced.

Which Stereotypes of a Woman are Acceptable?, is from Tasha's blog, Reasonable Noble
